HDPE Conduit

It’s not the cost, it’s the savings.

HDPE conduit saves installation time, plain and simple. HDPE resin has inherent physical characteristics making it abrasion and crack resistant combined with substantial tensile strength. Another key feature is the resins superior chemical resistance and it doesn’t corrode or require cathodic protection.

HDPE conduit is lightweight and flexible allowing it to be produced in continuous lengths on reels or coils. Long lengths of HDPE conduit reduce the need for mechanical connections and the labor related costs inherent to other types of conduit. Less time spent joining allows Utility crews to install more HDPE conduit per day than traditional stick type conduit construction.

HDPE conduit has excellent impact and crush resistance protecting buried cables during construction and after burial. Flexibility allows for assembly above the trench, HDPE has a lower overall cost by permitting the use of narrower trenches and fewer fittings, further lowering overall construction costs.

Options are another key advantage to HDPE conduit:
  • Color Coding, for individual conduit in multiple conduit banks and utility identification
  • Sequential footage markings, to assist in identifying remaining lengths on partial reels and recording installation quantities
  • Customized lengths, made to fit project requirements
  • Internally ribbed & pre-lubricated, for greater friction reduction
  • Cables pre-installed (CIC) or pull tape pre-installed saving field installation steps
Installation options include trenching and trenchless methods like pull & chute plowing or HDD reducing the environmental impact of construction and clean up after installation. HDPE conduit can help to maintain the visual value in historical or natural settings and limits obstructions to wildlife habitation using trenchless technologies like horizontal directional drilling.

HDPE conduit provides a wide range of solutions to Power Utilities, CATV, FTTh, Telecommunication, Outside Plant and Premise needs. HDPE corrugated, corrugated slit, Riser and Plenum conduit have specific characteristics and flame retardant ratings for use as nonmetallic raceways in buildings.
