Squeeze-Off
Regardless of the joining method applied in the installation of HDPE pipe, it may become necessary to shut off the flow in the system when performing repairs. With HDPE pipe materials, squeeze-off of the pipe with specially-designed tools may be conveniently used to for this purpose. Use squeeze-off tools per ASTM International F 1563 and follow the squeeze-off procedures in ASTM International F 1041, as appropriate.
